Furnal Equinox 2012
Furnal Equinox 2012, the third annual Furnal Equinox, was held on March 16-18, 2012 at the Doubletree by Hilton Toronto Airport in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The theme of the convention was "Infurnally Yours".[1]
Attendance at the convention over the three days was 651, including 160 participants in the Fursuit Parade. The convention also raised CA$8,000 (~US$8068) for the Mississauga Humane Society.[2]
Guests of Honour[edit]
The Guests of Honour at Furnal Equinox 2012 were furry artists Dark Natasha and Marci McAdam. Marci and Natasha collaborated on most artwork related to the convention including promotional buttons and conbadges, website artwork, T-shirt artwork, the conbook, and custom keycards that were distributed to all hotel guests.
Registration[edit]
Preregistration and Dealers Den signups opened to attendees on 29 August 2011 and concluded on 4 March 2012. Memberships cost $35 to $45 Canadian depending on the time of registration. Sponsorships for an additional $30 included a T-shirt and access to the Wolf's Den, including a pizza party that took place on Saturday night.
