ASCII (Anti Spooge Cabal International, Incorporated) was coined January 14, 2001 by Doug Winger, during a discussion on Alt.fan.furry as a playful jab to the myriad of "anti-spooge activists" or groups of that time period (i.e. Anti-furries). The term continues to appear from time to time in some of Doug's drawings and/or writings for "nefarious" reasons.
