Aurawra is a planned furry convention to be held in Wolli Creek,[1] near Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Its first instance is to be held 24-26 July 2020[2] at the Novotel Sydney International Airport hotel.[3]
The convention is run by the staff of FurJAM and other organisers and helpers from other New South Wales Furry events.[4]
The name "Aurawra" originates from "bad advice from a dragon"[5] (specifically, the "-rawr-"), as well as references to "Au"stralia and the aurora australis.[6]
