X231, also known as Ian Wood and Comodo Tu (Modo Tu) (born May 12),[1] is a furry artist.

Character[edit]

Comodo Tu', or just Modo Tu, is a fictional character created by X231. This character was created June 2007 and fully developed by November 2014.

Appearance[edit]

Modo Tu' is a green scaled lizard with darker shaded wings and dreadlocks. His eyes are simple pupil slits on white sclera, his finger and toe claws are the same color as his skin (for the purpose of simplifying his design) His wings are capable of undertaking two states. Behind the back, and cloak modes. Modo his armed with only his battle armor for much of the canon story. He wears the Laris Suit and powerful piece of wear capable of taking heavy punishment, while also able to repair itself without attention from outside interference. The suit bears no weaponry, only the energy conduits on his hands and feet provide him with all the defense he needs.

Personality[edit]

Modo is an energetic and responsible lizard, especially when it all matters most. He's incredibly smart in his field of mechanics and engineering and has successfully repaired a carrier shuttle that has been deemed by experts to be "beyond repair" Clearly Modo's not an expert, but a master engineer. Often times when there is a new machine with all sorts of awesome gadgets just waiting to be played with, Modo simply can't contain himself and rushes with the spirit of a child hyped up on sugar...who has achieved light speed. He's easy to get along with and tries his best to avoid conflict over differing opinions and often feels helpless when an argument between friends does break out. He's not against action or violence of the general kind, but he refuses to take another's life even if it would result in his own life being taken. He's kept strongly to this belief all his life and wishes to continue holding on as long as the people he faces have a glimmering chance to be changed by their own accord. He's neither pro-gun nor anti-gun, he simply refuses to use them. Overall when it comes to the thought of people that he has at least learned the name of dying before his eyes...he's deeply unsettled, which is why Modo will do all that he can to prevent the taking of another life. However, he is not a pacifist. If in the event a fight is inevitable, Modo will do all that he can to repel his foes and fight them off, but he will never follow through with the "Finish Him" routine.

LIR series[edit]

Modo also plays role as main character of a comic strip series titled "Life is Random" (LIR). It tells the story of life with Modo, his heavily responsible housemate Rain, their rent paying housemate Larry the Pheonix, and several other neighbors that have yet been introduced. This series began strong in the early years despite not having a focused plot and visually unimpressive, but stopped after "LIR 19" on December 4th 2010.

February 24, 2013 LIR came back through a digital medium and went on for 31 pages before production ceased again. X231 wishes to continue the series as he has ideas involving a more focused plot that he started with during the last 3 pages of his comic series.
