Utah Furries

United Utah Furry Fandom is the largest furry meet up group in the state with over 500 members coming from all over Utah. The group's members range across the entire state of Utah as well as a few members from surrounding states, including Idaho, Wyoming and Colorado.

U2F2 prides itself on being one of the most active furry communities in the United States with dozens of meets and events happening per month, a large array of active social media communities across multiple platforms, and a regularly updated central portal/website.

It’s a diverse community containing a plethora of artists, fursuit makers, musicians, performers, and other creative sparks coming from all lifestyles, ages, and cultures. They encourage people from all walks of life (and not just furries) to join them in the participation and creation of furry merriment.

History

The U2F2 is a conglomeration of its predecessors, The Utah Furry Fandom (UFF) and Utah Furries (UF) groups that were prevalent on Facebook and Yahoo Groups pre-2014.

At the end of 2014, The administration of the two groups pulled them together into what we now know as the United Utah Furry Fandom (U2F2). Since then, the furry population in Utah grew exponentially. New furries often join the community, participating in frequent monthly and weekly meetups designed to help grow the community.

Local furries and visitors participate in a vast array of events, which include: Weekly game nights at Game Haven in Sandy (formerly at the The Watchtower Cafe), fitness activities, art jams, adventure excursions, hiking activities, monthly bar and club nights, and other events planned and hosted by members and administration all around the valley.

As of December, 2023 the United Utah Furry Fandom Facebook group has 1,280 members.

Organization

The membership to the various social media and discussion groups is closed and requires administrator approval to join. Members are subject to rules drafted by the group. Members must be at least 16 to be part of the online community, however, everybody is welcome to be a part of the community and review all events for consideration of attendance via the groups' main website.

Policy on minors

As of September 19, 2014, the minimum age to be on the Facebook group is 16 and the minimum age to attend the group meets is 16; however, individuals under the age of 18 may attend only if they are accompanied by an adult for the duration of the meet. Alternatively, they must fill out a parental consent form available on the U2F2 website Documents and Resources Page . If the minor does not have a parent or legal guardian to accompany them at the meet, then they are not allowed to attend the meets.
