What is your angle, really? Your edits and comments are suspects, your article creations don't work and need to be deleted,... And, no, we don't censor this or any Wiki to please anybody or you specifically. Is life, and if you can't handle it, don't peruse the site (it gets much, much worse down the rabbit hole).
And the Austrian flag on the Template needs to be fixed; the incorrect formatting gives the first impression/illusion to any editor or reader that it has five bars (white/red/white/red/white). - Spirou (talk) 10:36, 1 February 2024 (EST)
- I'm sorry, but I don't think I understand what your deal is. I have created one single article so far, which was a stub for a Austrian furcon as I don't know how to fully flesh out an article on Wikifur yet. The preview generation of the SVG file of the Austrian flag failing is outside my control and attempting to fix it by reuploading a slightly changed version of the SVG file failed as well, hence why I requested a SpeedyDelete.
- I have never requested censoring anything. If you by "censor this or any Wiki to please anybody or you" mean adding a warning tag to Chronology section of the 2016/2017 child abuse arrests article: I have only asked if it MIGHT be a good idea to add one, considering the subject. Last I checked, asking is not censoring.
- I can handle life just fine, and have already seen into the rabbit hole a long time ago when I got into the fandom. But thanks for the feedback regarding the Template, I have fixed it. Reptaiin (talk) 23:21, 1 February 2024 (EST)
- "I have only asked if it MIGHT be a good idea to add one, considering the subject." There are worse subjects on this Wiki (murder et al) and is not the first time it has been suggested (or just asked) by "somebody" to just censor something "just this one bit/one time" (either "because of the children", "is a family wiki" [it is not], "it is in the United States, so it may not fly", "possible lawsuit(s)", etc).
- As for the Austrian flag, if it is not working, don't leave it up. Continue working with it, or if you have to step away while fixing it, add the cleanup tags to it.
- Your first sentence on this Wiki was "where the fuck i am" (what the fresh hell is this?), add the wrong display of media on a new article (which vandals love so much mich to insert into articles), and "Reading the chronology through made me sick. I didn't expect it to be this detailed. Might want to add a warning" did not read as "only asked if it MIGHT be a good idea to add one" as like more as "You guys are sick and is your fault for not protect everybody from this displayed filth!" (...which has been uttered ad nauseam in the past by many, many "not nice people"...); So, no excuses to make sure you were not a troll, Vandal, Goon, etc, but that said, if you are not such, then a true apology to putting you in the spot because you had apparently hit the trifecta of sus behavior. - Spirou (talk) 03:02, 2 February 2024 (EST)
- Apologies if it seemed liked asking to censor then, I fail to see however how adding a warning tag to a section is the same as censoring it. That being said, I want to put discussing this subject to rest.
- Regarding the Austrian flag, how did I leave it up? Seeing as I can't delete uploaded media, plus failure of the fix, I added the SpeedyDelete tag as it threw a bunch of errors while trying to generate a preview/thumbnail.
- Vandals have used them (warning tags) to censor, blank, or delete many articles in the past. The article with the Speedy Delete was taken care of. And again, it was just a combo of wording(s) and deeds that identified as being trollish/vandal in nature, in short, you just hit the perfect storm of a possibility, nothing more, that is why precautions went up immediately.
