No, I'm sorry. When I first saw that addition you made a couple hours ago, I just went "eh, no big deal". But when you receive a couple Twitter notes (first time that feature has activated. Glad to see it works. Twice too), informing one about such "request" being spammed across 2.000+ Twitter accounts (with several users with accounts in Wikifur), any and all future "additions" can not be considered trustworthy. Apologies, but not the first time we had the "everybody!, go put XXXX in your/their Wikifur accounts!" bit pulled here, I'm afraid.

Alterations in before twitter spam. (Original Wikifur edit at 02:28 EDT, Twitter post occurred at 02:52 EDT) It's a valid English phrase and is much more appropriate than "furry fan" which denotes that one would be a fan of furries rather than an active member of the fandom. My con attendance alone should be enough to validate this assertion. As well, I believe the tweet in question was more to the tune of "add this to your page if it applies to you", not an attempt at spam.
