User talk:Anjel

From WikiFur, the furry encyclopedia.
Jump to: navigation, search

there, Anjel - welcome to WikiFur! I noticed your edits to your user page - you might want to move some of that to an article about you (the public person, rather than the wiki user) at Anjel. You could then put [[Category:People]] on that (and any other tags you feel suitable) in order to get it to show up in the people category. Of course, you're not required to if you don't want to!

If you need any help, feel free to contact myself or another administrator on our user talk pages. Enjoy your time here! :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 04:56, 12 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Hey Green[edit]

I noticed your note to me. I am still really green to this so to speak (heheh) can you let me know how to move it to person; people category? thanks, anjel

To put your page in the People category, you put [[Category:People]] at the bottom of it - have a look at other people's pages to see how it works. Also, to sign your name easily at the end of talk page edits, just put ~~~~ which will turn into your name and the date. Make sure you're logged in first! :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 03:56, 6 March 2006 (UTC)

Contributor tag[edit]

Hi again - thanks for your recent contributions! I noticed you've been including the {{Contributor}} tag in articles you write. The tag is not actually an indication of who initially wrote the article - that information is preserved in the article's history tab. Instead, it is intended to show that the person in the article has a user name on WikiFur, to aid in communication with them. It should therefore only really be used on the pages of people who have editing accounts on WikiFur (and with their user names, not yours). The only page with {{Contributor|Anjel}} on it should be Anjel. Hope this helps! :-) --GreenReaper(talk) 17:06, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

Useful tag when editing[edit]

Just as an FYI, when you're working on an article and you don't want others to edit it just yet, add the {{Inuse}} tag at the top of the page to let others know you're working on it. Just be sure to remove it when you're done (certainly no more than 24 hours).----DuncanDaHusky(talk) 17:27, 14 May 2007 (UTC)

Keep ED link off my Wiki fur[edit]

Hey Green.Anjel here. I did some new edits to my Wikifur and I noticed someone tried to link my old ED from mirrored site. I want to keep the drama off my page so can you make sure that people will stop linking that to my wikifur. Thanks

Hi Anjel! The link there had already gained some comment. I have left a note there myself. If you are concerned about the content of the article, you should add it to your watchlist, and make sure that you have an email address set in your preferences. That way you will be emailed on changes so that you can review it yourself rather than relying on others to do so. --GreenReaper(talk) 17:26, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

I have the IP of the person making the edits and I know their Idetity Its JoanMichele and her IP is User:203.93.254.44 can I ban that IP from my list?

There's no way to block individual users from editing a particular page. However, that IP address is in fact a proxy, so I have blocked it site-wide. --GreenReaper(talk) 17:37, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. My friend tells me that she can change her IP so if you can block a range of them from that area it would help. It is coming from nanchang china The only reason this user is on this site is to stalk me and cause drama. She has no account or has made any other edits as you can see.

As noted, the editor was using a proxy server, not their own computer. They probably do not actually come from China. Such servers are present all around the world and more are created every day (usually by people exploiting vulnerable software). The editor probably just found it in a list of such servers. There is no good way to reliably bock users from a particular area, just those using a particular Internet Service Provider, and it would not help in this case. We do block proxy servers as we find them, though. If you look up the IP address of an anonymous editor and find it mentioned frequently in Google, that is a sign that it is a known proxy server, and you should let us know. --GreenReaper(talk) 18:03, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

Image:Blackandlac.jpg[edit]

Hello Anjel

This is in regards to Image:Blackandlac.jpg. It has not been tagged with a copyright status. This can be a complicated area, so I can try to help if you need any. The Wikipedia Image use policy may give some background, but it isn't policy here.

To deal with this image, there are a few choices:

  • If you are the copyright holder, release it under a free license, for example:
  • If you are asserting that this image is usable under fair use, add an appropriate fair use tag. A very basic summary is that fair use is used for commentary, criticism and review on the image when no free image could be used instead. Some fair use tags are:
    • Logos: {{logo}}
    • Covers: {{Cover}}
    • Comic panels: {{Comic-panel}}
  • If the image is already under a free license, provide information on the license, and tag the image if you can.
  • If you would like the image to be deleted, ask any administrator

To see a list of current copyright tags available on WikiFur, see Category:Image copyright tags If the copyright status is not resolved, the image may be deleted.

Unless you have a question for me specifically, I'd prefer responses on the page for the image. --Rat 00:31, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Image:Feelingpretty.jpg[edit]

Could you look into Image:Feelingpretty.jpg too please? Same reason as the previous image. --Rat 20:08, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Image:Lookinsmexy.jpg[edit]

The image Image:Lookinsmexy.jpg also needs a copyright tag, same as the previous ones. --Rat 03:00, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Image:001t58ez.jpg[edit]

Image:001t58ez.jpg needs a copyright status to be added. I removed the {{press}} tag because I really doubt this is a Press Pack image. Though if it is, please explain on the image page. --Rat 22:53, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Image:000yafxx.jpg[edit]

Image:000yafxx.jpg needs a copyright tag, same as the previous images. Also, in the future, when uploading images, please give them a descriptive name. --Rat 05:23, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Remove the Anjel[edit]

  1. Remove the Anjel

Hi I'd like my wikipage removed and blanked. I've kind of dropped out the fandom and I want to try to keep a more professional mien on the internet. Thanks —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Anjel (talkcontribs) .

  1. Remove Anjel from the Tumbles the stair dragon article.

Hello, I want my entire Wikifur article removed and the reference to Tumbles the Stair Dragon also removed.
