Out-of-Placers (OoPs) is an anthromorphic transformation fiction webcomic by Valsalia. The comic follows Kassen Akoll, initially a human guardsman in the employ of House Ivenmoth. A mysterious artifact changes both his species and gender into a yinglet, a rat-like scavenging sapient species. Kass must now navigate a new society and come to terms with the aftermath of her change.

Setting[edit]
The world of Out-of-Placers is a low-magic medieval-era fantasy with many fantastic species, from the gangly scavenging yinglets to the insectoid indrel and baxxid. The series takes place in and around the port city of Val Salia (named for the author of the comic). Evidence of a previous civilization's knowledge and antiquities are present, adding to House Ivenmoth's regional dominion.
Synopsis[edit]
Kassen Akoll, unremarkable male human guardsman, is turned into a female yinglet by a mysterious artifact. She must now navigate her new body and the political pressures of House Ivenmoth as well as matriarchal yinglet society. She is promoted from nobody to yinglet-human ambassador, while her best friend Elim is seriously wounded. Other characters (often Out of Place in some way) also become the focus of comic pages.
