Scub4 (Formerly known by Lamis) is a hobbyist furry artist from southern California. They first began posting art in 2008 on the now discontinued Flipnote Hatena under the username Lamis (id:Fusagiko1). Their main fursona, Lamis, is a white and pink feline with a distinctive hair curl. Their earliest artwork was inspired by flash animations of cats originating from 2chan. In recent years, they create art inspired by retro fashions, toys, and childhood memorabilia.
Scub4 is the creator of an open species known as Canistinea, shortened as Cantins. Cantins are bipedal, short-snouted mammalians with butterfly or moth wings for ears. Their conception was in 2011, with the oldest surviving digital artwork dating to 2013 in the form of a flipnote canvas.
