Underground Fur Club, commonly known as U. Fur Club, was a furry club on Second Life.

History[edit]

The Underground Fur Club had its origins in June 2008 when its founder, Soupa Segura, felt he wanted to provide something to the furry community within Second Life. Due to a severe lack of funding, however, it could only stay open for a total of 3 months, but with that starting endeavor, he felt it'd be best to work his way through other clubs and learn from them.

  • June 2008 - Underground Fur Club is founded
  • September 2008 - The club closes due to lack of funds
  • November 2, 2009 - Plans and development begin for the revival and grand re-opening of Underground Fur Club.
  • November 20, 2009 - The new club was raised, and opened to the public
  • November 28, 2009 - Began advertisement campaign work with AllFurRadio
  • December 2, 2009 - With the help of many like RaithSphere Enyo the club found a great home albeit temporarily, the club had begun its rise in the fan base.
  • October 22, 2010 - Underground Fur Club moves from its ¼ sim parcel to its own sim Underground Furs. The club and mall itself sit on half sim, while the other half is being used as personal and residential rentals.
  • November 18, 2010 - Underground Fur Club closes its doors indefinitely due to a lack of funding and motivation on the owners' part to get the rentals set up to help support tier fees.

In its current state, the club it is no longer available, although many attempts to buy the club from Spyked Mycron were made. The owner had expressed at the time that he wished[citation needed] to eventually re-open, albeit at this time it is unknown as to when.

Services[edit]

The club was a place for live DJs, a game room containing Texas hold 'em card games, SLopoly, and Greedy Greedy (also known as 10k). The club had a unique program in the works to help reach out to furry artists who collect commissions via SL.

The club also featured its store aptly named Underground Fur Industries at Rainbow Tiger.
