"Magic" Tom Hughsted was the convention services manager at the Adam's Mark Hotel during the years that Anthrocon was held there. He functioned as the convention's primary point of contact with the hotel for getting any issues resolved.
He was given the nickname "Magic Tom" by Uncle Kage in 2001 by displaying an apparent ability to teleport himself (and any necessary equipment) wherever he was needed whenever a crisis arose. This ability was also witnessed in subsequent years by members of the convention's Operations staff.
With the abrupt closing of the Adam's Mark in 2004, Tom subsequently found new employment in a similar position at another area hotel.
