Timothy, or, Notes of an abject reptile is a novel by Verlyn Klinkenborg. It is "the story of a tortoise whose real life was observed by the eighteenth-century English curate Gilbert White", told in first-person by the tortoise.[1] The novel was published in 2006 by Knopf, with the ISBN 0679407286.[2]
