The Wolf Without Wings is a whodunit styled murder mystery written by E.O. Costello and published on the Spontoon Island website.

The story, which takes place in 1934, stars Franklin Stagg, who was a stateless refugee now granted asylum in the Spontoons almost solely for the purpose of building up the country's Constabulary. Less than twelve hours after arriving on Spontoon, Stagg is forced to hit the ground running, as he is called to investigate the mysterious death of lupine industrialist, Art Lupino, who fell out of his plane. The story is told from the point of view of Stagg's assistant; native Spontoonie, Detective Sergeant Orrin Brush who as the events unfold, becomes impressed with Stagg's professionalism and strives to learn from him.
