The Phasian Bird

The Phasian Bird is a novel by Henry Williamson. Published by Faber in 1948, it "entwines the stories of the struggles of the stranger, Wilbo, to improve the farm in the difficult war years with that of the rare Reeve’s pheasant’s struggle for survival."[1] This book was illustrated by Israel Doskow who was born in Russia and came to the United States as a small child. He was a noted artist and illustrator.
