The Furry Sociological Survey

The Furry Sociological Survey was an amateur statistical survey conducted in 2007. It was based on David Rust's study The Sociology of Furry Fandom, carried out in 1998. Rust's survey was, at the time, arguably one of the most known and referenced study of the furry community. [1] In addition, The Furry Sociological Survey also makes extensive references to other recent studies of the furry community; namely the studies by the University of California Davis, Doctor Kathy Gerbasi and Alex Osaki.
Participants for the survey were recruited using only the internet. The survey started in November 2006 and finished collecting data April 30th, 2007. The results were published October 23rd, 2008, but the website has since gone offline.
