merge dealer list?[edit]
Merge the 2008 dealer list into dealer list in "Rocky Mountain Fur Con 2008" article? --EarthFurst 02:26, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
OK to merge some of the stats into a table?[edit]
Lots of themes and attendance statistics. Might be best to have this summarized in a table before all of the breakout headings. Makes it quick to spot key stats (attendance, theme, location, Guests of Honor). Happy to do it, just wanted to get some more feedback on it.
Would look something like ...
Year | Dates (Start/Finish) | Theme | Venue | Guest(s) of Honor | Attendence | Att. Inc. | Fursuiters | Dealers | Charity | Amt. Raised |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
2007 | 06/01 - 06/03 | Unknown | Adam's Mark Denver (Now Sheraton Denver) |

Not an expert by any means and I might need some help with formatting WikiText but helps free up some space on the page and reduces repetition. Silverpalth 13:01, 15 July 2013 (EDT)
- Hi, we usually keep the information about different yearly iterations of an event in separate articles, rather than including a large table of information such as you propose. -- Sine 14:28, 15 July 2013 (EDT)
Oh, I wasn't proposing that the article subheadings be removed. I was proposing that data best represented by a table be placed in a table. While some statistical data is good to use as an immediate reference so people aren't jumping from table to text, most of the time it's ideal display is in a table. A good example is the GenCon page on Wikipedia, specifically, the Timeline section. Migrating statistical data into a table would help remove numerical statistical information in the article subheadings when it's not generally needed, better organize numerical information into something quick to reference in a single subsection, and help utilize the subheadings to highlight key historical events for a particular instance of the convention instead of detracting from the historical content. -- Silverpalth 12:05, 7 August 2013 (EDT)<del>
- Gotcha. Might the table not be a good thing to have on the main page anyway as part of a Timeline section? It would be a convenient placeholder for statistics reference and for links to other specific conventions and Guests of Honor. Not to mention, it would still centralize all the statistics into one place for easy reference. --Silverpalth 12:13, 7 August 2013 (EDT)
