For all those writer out there - it would be nice to ask/discuss with me before you delete larger parts on this page as they reflect informations about my furdom activity and i put some time in editing and adding new informations onto the page

Things are generally deleted for a reason. You might want to take a look at WikiFur:Policies and guidelines for more information on what is considered acceptable in articles. The short version: articles are supposed to be encyclopedic. Sticking to the facts is encouraged.

Um, Duncan, don't be so bold when you quote something... Use italics and it won't get misinterpreted for shouting ;-) Seriously, I consider it good style to discuss larger or potentially controversial edits before submitting them. -- O'wolf 16:58, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Formatting

Hm... ist there a way to do a clean formatting of the second life and wikifur templates? i thought about aline them at the left side instead of one right, one left (searched wikipedia, but didnt find a proper tag) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lynard (talk • contribs) .

The formatting is inherent in the template. One possibility might be to copy the code from the template and modify as you like (change float:right to float:left, for instance). It's messy, but it gets the job done :-) (By the way, you can sign your comments by adding --~~~~ at the end of the comment). ----DuncanDaHusky^(talk) 15:11, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Cleaning up

Hm... I've been looking around at different articles here in wikifur - generally spoken the 'normal' article about a character should also contain informations about the character itself while the personal information (like rl name and so on) should be redirected to the Users:... Actually, factual information about both characters and players are welcome in the main article space. Whether they need to be on the same page or as two separate articles is something of a subjective decision, usually based on the amount of information presented about each. The User space, on the other hand, is for subjective commentary, personal things like to-do lists or vandalism reversion tallies, or essays (like User:Dmuth/PeopleWhoDon'tWantToBeOnAWiki). Waah... spammy article ;o) Ok, i agree, it is a very subjective decision. Seen it in a very straight way, i should move the Real-Life informations on the User page, on the other hand it's very short. Thinking about it, for example i should move the Hobbies section i removed from the Real Life part to the User page, as it is more 'personal' informations not really connected to the character - on the other hand, lynard is my personal character, that means it represents me in the digital world.... Argh S) - I think i should sleep about it, might always be a good idea --Lynard 16:01, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
