Attention to Foxxer, we have a List of online furry conventions in 2020. I like the entries that you did for Furality Online Xperience for this page, but please review the listing for Furality in the 2020 page, and choose whether or not you would like to overwrite the current entry on that page. The List of online furry conventions should be filled with cons for this year in 2021, and for conventions that are upcoming. I'd like to remove any 2020 entries for this page, since there's already the 2020 online con article. --Meeran (talk) 23:55, 31 March 2021 (EST)
Since they won't list online conventions because they don't have a "hotel" - is there a reason to use the IRL convention list at the bottom? Online conventions are still conventions even if they are not tied to a canceled in-person event. For example, VBLFC is not like TFF going virtual, since it's a new con and not a replacement for the event year. Should we make a new list for online with perhaps the "home" country of the organizers / owning entity?
Hi, Foxxer. We have discussed attempting to merge online furry conventions with regular furry conventions. There was a discussion last year about adding them to List of furry conventions by attendance, but we had a talk about that, and decided to keep online conventions separate from normal furry convention resources, since there are so many that they have made an impact on the fandom. As much as I would like to include online events on the front page where all the upcoming furry conventions are listed, we have discussed not to do that. That's why we are improvising with having upcoming events included in List of online furry conventions. However, not everything is set in stone; online furry cons are still primitive, so there's room for subject to change. Feel free to keep discussing this with Wikifur curators.
I would still like to include a home country for a pre-existing meatspace convention, since that's where the origin of the convention was located. For example, Virtual Anthrocon is a subsidiary of Anthrocon, which is located in the United States of America. Since Furality Online Xperience had the intention from the very beginning to start up as a virtual con, I do not think that a home country is relevant. By all means, feel free to create a Wikifur article about various VRChat/NEOS/Second Life instances and worlds that pertain to furries and online conventions.
I hope this clears some confusion. Thanks! -(talk) 12:10, 2 April 2021 (EST)
