I took LAFF NYE over because at the time, no one els would stand up and take it over, and when I did it was drawing closer and closer to NYE, and no one had made any arangements so I stopped at th hotel personally and set it up with the manager there, then from there I went ahead and picked people I feel were capable of helping me run this event, which consisted of, Me (Riley Westwolf/Rex), Lil Blue, Sema, Taren, Blazger, Frostcat, and Locket Foxwolf. And people like Ken Redtail, Navajo Lion and Ultima where fantastic enough to lend in a hand with the event and help out. I took care of all the hotel areangements, signed the contract, Sema was nice enough to get all the food arangements set up, and the registration stuff. She, like everyone involved was a very big help in running this event with out a hitch. As of recent Sema is trying to proove something, I am unsure what, she is trying to take credit for an event that was run by EVERYONE, not just her! She was a big help, but she has nothing to proove by doing such a thing. She needs to remember everyone that helped run the event this year. This is not SEMA NYE, this is LAFF NYE. Sema needs to remember this people, and that LAFF NYE is not hers, it is not any one persons event. I never claimed it as mine. It is LAFF NYE, it is for everyone that wants to come in the LAFF area, or from anywhere, it is an open party for everyone who wishes to come and join in the fun each year! --Riley West Wolf 06:00, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

If you go back through the edits - I'm the one giving EVERYONE credit - you're the one who erased everyone's name. I have never took full credit for this event, because it's wasn't all my doing. We all worked on it together - and neither you nor I could of run the event without our staff. A lot of people wanted to be on 'staff' - but the rule was - you had to contribute money to the deposit to be on staff, remember? So the only people who were "staff members" were those who had blue badges. If we listed every person who "helped" us at the event as a staff member - we'd have a list two dozen furs long!
Here is a breakdown of how much was spent on that party per person - I still have the receipts. If it wasn't for us fronting the money - the event would of never happened.
Blazger and FrostCat

$40 - registration/ $45 -Pizza Total: $85

Locket Foxwolf

$60 - registration Total: $60

Sema JayHawk

$55 - registration/ $65 - badges/ $216 -Meijer/ $84- Jimmy Johns Total: $420

Taren Nauxen

$45 - registration/ $29 - cash box/ $59.40 - Slyders Total: $133.40

Total Cost: $698.40
So you see, it was GROUP effort between us all - no one person deserves all the credit. -- Posted by Sema JayHawk 4:43pm, 13 February 2007

2007[edit]

Ok, as far as I can discover, there are two separate reservations for the same night at the same hotel. So we got two different parties probably one in each room. How typical for LAFF. This is going to be the best New Years Eve party ever! XD --Kendricks Redtail 02:21, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

Here's an idea. Since both parties have arranged things with the hotel and both parties have things in order and the charity has already been contacted, how about we just put aside petty drama and pool our resources for the good of LAFF at whole? Are you willing to set aside your petty differences?--Kendricks Redtail 02:26, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
I have a feeling things will be changing soon ^_^--Sema JayHawk 02:32, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
They likely are. Frankly, I don't give a rat's ass about your personal drama with previous year's staff. I just want to make sure the best party is put out for the folks, not for the staff. That's why I offered to pool our resources together.--Kendricks Redtail 03:10, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
The situation is being handled. Stay out of it. The other room can't be rented out so forget that idea. That room is for the entire hotel, thus that is why is is not rented out. And the drama is not with the staff - it's Riley being an ass as usual and the rest of the staff from last year not putting up with his crap again this year. Last year he took $70 from the event for "his expenses" (which he said was for gas, but since he lived so close to the hotel I hardly think $70 is how much he spent on gas.)when the rest of us got nothing except what we put into it (I actually ended up losing some money). I didn't say anything at the time because I didn't want to cause drama, but now it seems the issue has to be brought up. That was money that should of gone to Almost Home. I felt so guilty that I gave them extra money out of my own pocket in the groups name. That's the person we want running our new years eve party? If so, that's pretty sad...--Sema JayHawk

OK, there's going to two LAFF parties at the same hotel? If that's the case then both should be documented and we should probably throw in the other New Year's Parties held in the LAFF-area as well (at least on our homepage). I think the furs in Beloit, Janesville, and Rockford had their own thing and let's us not forget those snazzy A-listers!--159.142.195.138 11:11, 19 June 2007 (UTC)

There are furries in Rockford! I grew up there, plus I knew at least 3 other furries there, but I don't think they have articles here. Have to find out!
