Does anyone have any information why the con moved? I did a quick google search, and I came up empty handed. -TBG

I did a little more searching, and I couldn't come up with anything. If I had to guess, I would say it was because they sold out their hotel two weeks before the con. That by itself is not a good reason to move, but I would imagine it's a contributing factor. I do note that the article has the incorrect location for 2007, though - I'll fix that. ----DuncanDaHusky(talk) 00:56, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
You can get more information on why the con moved at its website, but basically it got too big for the hotel at Bradley Airport, and I think some people felt a little too confined by the airport security. Besides, the new hotel is much nicer and will have a water park in 2009. Tycon.jpgCoyoty 19:51, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Use official ballpark charity estimate?[edit]

Belic posted the figures of the convention on the FurFright LJ. The attendance was spot on, but he listed "$3000" as money raised for charity. Should we use the $3000 estimate that came from the report, or should we keep the $2216.65 already listed in the article?

I think a reference wins. They may have added their own money to round it up, like FA:U did earlier. --Cubbi 06:24, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
There were a few things not included in the preliminary total -- offhand I remember that the fursuit photography numbers weren't included in the first announced figure, and there were a few other smaller sources that added a few dollars here and there. After everything was counted it was still shy of $3000, so the con donated the remainder to bring the amount sent to charity to a nice round number. --Riismo 03:46, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
