Idle Natter[edit]
I'm not quite sure why, but this page reminded me of a family story:
- Close kin of my grandfather (brother, I think, but possibly uncle) worked for the Fruit Branch of the Canadian Ministry of Agriculture's Horticulture Division (that is, Government of Canada > Ministry of Agriculture > Horticulture Division > Fruit Branch) as an inspector, making sure fruit growers were grading their products correctly, dealing with buyers honestly, and not using any forbidden substances on their plants. He would often have to visit orchards and the like in person, and when he met with the owners, he would show them the badge which declared him to be FBI: a Fruit Branch Inspector.
Has very little to do with the article, but I was never the less determined to share. The only possible connection to Furry culture is that all my abortive attempts at writing stories, all of which include furry elements, contain examples of this kind of humour.
