Before we go trying to duplicate all of Wikipedia, how is this article better than just pointing to Estrus?----DuncanDaHusky(talk) 12:53, 22 June 2007 (UTC)

While the article as it is now is vague and makes generalisations, and might as well be deleted, I think the topic is worth addressing. It is one of those animal characteristics which is likely considered in establishing a character, storyline, or universe, and there is a huge range, from no estrus cycle at all to an extermely strong cycle which cannot be ignored. -- Sine 19:45, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
I've literally not read the article yet (I'm about to), but particularly considering the prevalence of sex play in furry lit and RP, and considering estrus vs menses is one of the KEY differences between humans (well, and some other primates, shrews, and maybe one or two others), and the vast majority of placental animals. I got no idea what merits mention in wikifur, frankly, but this is at least as important a topic re: anthropomorphization of animals are the subjects of digitgrade/plantigrade stance, etc. --Furthling 23:58, 22 June 2007 (UTC)
Okay. Now I've read the article and done a few edits. I feel strongly enough that the question's one of the most important questions re: anthropomorphization that there is, that I took the relevance tag out (I've got terrible wiki ettiqutte, sorry if that offends, feel free to put it back) but what's important about it to furries was very up-front in the previous version. I fancy mine's a *little* better. --Furthling 00:32, 23 June 2007 (UTC)
