Storms Over Open Fields
Storms Oven Open Fields is an online furry novel written by Greg Howell, and is the sequel to Light on Shattered Water. It has a sequel titled Lies in Red Leaves. The story was completed when the final installment was posted on Feb. 12, 2008.
Plot summary[edit]
In Light on Shattered Water, Michael Riley, a human, was somehow transported to an alternate reality where the world is populated by the felinoid Rris. Eventually he comes to live in the city of Shattered Water.

In this installment, Michael Riley and his engineer friend Chaeitch are asked to make a journey to visit Open Fields, the capital of the neighboring land Cover-My-Tail, where they will be guests of queen H'risnth. All goes smoothly at first, but soon Michael finds he is being relentlessly sought after by Mediators (a highly respected profession that could loosely be described as a combination of a detective and a judge). It appears that they have split into two rival groups, one of which is evidently trying to kill him.
