Selroth and his wife Aurelia are the administrators of Draconity.org. They cover the costs of server space and bandwidth, website maintenance and security, and facilitate community organization.

Though he grew up in otherkin communities, he no longer sees himself as otherkin. However, online he uses an avatar of an imaginary species called roths.

History[edit]

Selroth was born in 1983, and as a child always had a strong fascination with dragons. His first childhood pictures, stories, and elementary school assignments almost always involved dragons in some way.

Around age 14 (1997), he discovered an online dragon-based roleplay community. Shortly after, he found an IRC network and the real-time roleplay opportunities there. At the age of 18 (2001), he heard about Draconic.net IRC servers and was introduced to the idea of otherkin and draconity. Fascinated by this, he slowly migrated away from role-play and focused more on discussing the spiritual aspects and bonding with online friends. Though skeptic, he tried hard to envision a supernatural connection to dragons to rationalize his feelings about them. In 2003, he joined Draconomicon.com.

Upon joining the new Draconomicon.com community, founded and administered by T-Sar-Goth, he got quickly involved. It was here he found the maturity and sense he needed to accept his affinity for dragons was just that, and his avatar and other dragon aspects were just fruits of his imagination. Having formed close bonds with the members of the community, he was anxious to provide help, and became a member of the staff in March 2004. He began the site's transition to Draconity.org on August 2005, where he remains an administrator to date. Though he considers his "draconic journey" to be essentially concluded, he wishes to keep the community alive so others have a wonderful place to continue theirs.
