Rei is the tiger-man from the videogame Breath of Fire III, which was released by Capcom for the PlayStation back in 1998. Rei is a young thief of mysterious ancestry who rescues the abandoned and unconscious Ryu in the beginning of the game. Rei, who is also a thunder/lightning elemental, gains transformation abilities along with Ryu, which is one of the main gameplay elements of the series.
