Powerbirds is an animated television series that was produced by Universal Kids. It was based on the book published by Steve Breen.

Characters[edit]

Main Characters[edit]

  • Ace - A playful yellow and green parakeet with a superhero ego. He would often get distracted over food.
  • Polly - A blue parakeet who is Ace's sister and has a superhero ego like him. Unlike Ace, she has the ability to stretch like rubber.
  • Max - An imaginative 8-year old boy. He often gives out morals to the Powerbirds every before their mission.
  • Grandpa Felix - Max's grandfather who communicates via virtual meeting. He often gives advice to Max in various episodes.
  • Gwen - Max's little sister.

Villains[edit]

  • Asher Stasher - A grey squirrel who owns a giant robot suit and has an obsession with collecting various objects. He often has running gag of having a close bond with his mother.
  • Minerva - An owl who uses tools to make sure no one is "as smart as her".
  • Scrapper - A brown raccoon who is interested in food.
  • Nibbles - An egotistical white poodle dog who wears fancy clothing. He likes to be center of attention, and believes that everything he sees is meant for him.
  • Clawdette - Max's pet cat and the Powerbirds' adoptive sister. She wants to be loved, more especially just become Max's favorite pet.

  • Mrs. Lopez - A lady who drives the Bookmobile.
  • Kevin - A teenage boy who likes skateboarding.

Synopsis[edit]

Each episode starts with Max creating new ideas of stories or arts in front of his pet parakeets, and sometimes with either his younger sister or grandfather. He then brings out a lesson about superheroes after relating with his creations. When Max leaves the room, Ace and Polly start talking and transform into their superhero forms called the Powerbirds and apply their owners' lesson in fighting the villains. When they are done, the Powerbirds come back in Max's room, seeing the aftermath.
