Planet Protectors is a line of anthropomorphic toys from the Early Learning Centre.
The toys are themed on environmental protection, similar to Captain Planet. Each character comes with their own vehicle and a backpack that has a unique ability. These abilities all work, so a compass backpack can really be used as a basic compass, for example.
The Early Learning Centre also had a promotional DVD that contained four episodes of a miniseries made with the toys. These can be seen on the official website. There was also a comic which featured a retelling of Eyes episode.
Characters[edit]
- Kat: A lion who protects the land. He rides a quad bike. His backpack is a crane and tape measure.
- Ice: A polar bear that protects the arctic. He rides a snow mobile and has a compass backpack.
- Reef: A dolphin that protects the sea. He rides a jet ski. His back pack is a periscope. His jet ski does not float, and seems to be an underwater craft in the DVD.
- Eye: An eagle that protects the sky. Has a bike plane of some sort and a telescope.
- Nuts: A non-anthro monkey in a space suit who runs the mission control from a space shuttle.
- Doc Tox: A crocodile and villain. He rides an open top tank like vehicle. His backpack is a mortar. His minions and weapon of choice is GLOBS (Gross Lumps Of Bad Smells). He can also throw the GLOBS with a swinging arm and also says three phrases.
