Pinefur Meets is Southern New Jersey's regional furry community, though it has members from surrounding states as well.

Pinefur Meets was founded in 2023 as a small hangout, and grew into a larger community after enough members expressed interest. As of April 2024, Pinefur Meets' Telegram consisted of over 180 users. Pinefurs is run by a board of directors.

Pinefur Meets has members from a wide variety of regions, including furries from New Jersey's neighboring states.

Their mascot is Ranger the Pine Fox. He is featured in much of the the promotional material and merch for the group.

Additionally, members gather for sporadic meets, beach outings, hikes, informal holiday celebrations, dinner outings, and birthday parties.

Meaning Behind the Name[edit]

The group's name, "Pinefur Meets," is a play on words: New Jersey is home to the Pinelands; because of this, those that live in and near there were given the moniker "pineys."
