Niall Shapero

Niall Shapero (full Niall C. Shapero), also known as Nicolai (born in 1950), is a novelist and software engineer who lives in Los Angeles, California, USA, and is married to Kay Shapero.[1]
Fandom involvement[edit]
Shapero is the designer of the Other Suns roleplaying game. As the operator of the StormGate Aerie BBS, he was referred to as the Mad Russian Sysop (Niall speaks Russian) and was the founder and primary organizer of FurNet on FidoNet.

Shapero coauthored with G. S. Cole the novel Red Skies, published by Jarlidium Press in 2019 (and nominated for best anthropomorphic novel of that year for the Ursa Major award). He also coauthored with G. S. Cole the novel Interesting Times, published by Jarlidium Press in 2021.[2]
