Marco and Marty
Marco and Marty is a magical-realism webcomic written and illustrated by Billy Fore. It revolves around the lives of two college students: Marco Markowitz, a neurotic cat raised by an overbearing Jewish mother, and Marty Martin, a dog raised by a Baptist family.
Marco and Marty is syndicated in The Daily Illini, the student newspaper at the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. It was initially hosted on Webcomics Nation from October to December 2009, but was moved to Tumblr for further updates to the series. It won Honorable Mention in the 2011 ACP Cartooning Awards.
Marco and Marty was on an indefinite hiatus from 2012 to January 2017 when it resumed regular publication on Marco and Marty The timeline picks up four years later after Marco and Marty's graduation and presumptive break-up.
