Gus Manen, also known as ShiasBud, DM Gus and DJ Tempest (real name Matt Boniface), is a furry artist, fursuiter, DJ, and YouTuber who lives in Melbourne, Florida, USA.[1]

Fandom involvement[edit]

Gus is connected with the furry groups North Central Florida Furs (NCFF), Tampa Bay Furs, and Brevard Furs.

On Telegram he owns the groups Furry Corkboard & Group Finder and Bluewash Bay Furry Roleplay (SFW). He has previously moderated for the groups Female Fuzzies and Female Loving Furs.[2] In Second Life, he was formally the manager of BareFur Beach overseeing security and events. He has also DJ'd in a variety of furry clubs such as BareFur Beach, IYC, and GYC amongst smaller worlds.

Gus is currently the Game Room lead for Megaplex in Orlando, Florida, organizing both the Video Game Room and Board Game Room under the badge name Board Game Guru.[3] He will often bring a large portion of his extensive personal board game collection for public use in the Megaplex Game Room and other conventions.[4]. He has also hosted or assisted in a number of Board Game panels such as Two Rooms & A Boom, Introduction to Board Game Collection, Board Game Design, D&D, and others.

Gus' fursona is a Bernese Mountain Dog.[1]

Fursuit[edit]

Gus's current fursuit character is Gus Manen as built by Fluffy Lemons. The suit debuted at Megaplex 2022 where it could be seen at the Gainesville Furs Meet & Greet, Saturday Fursuit Parade and Sunday Timewave Parade.

Gus's previous fursuit character is Toffee Winterwolf self built.[5]

Side projects[edit]

Gus has attempted a few side projects including a poetry and short story based Patreon[6] and a small business as a professional Dungeon Master for roleplaying games.[7]

Gus also streams and uploads VR and other gaming content, on an irregular basis, to his YouTube gaming account under the name ShiasBud [8]. This name was derived from a joke that spawned as he was interacting as a viewer of ShiaBun on Twitch.
