Firewake

Firewake is a print and digtal comic series, published by Rabbit Valley and written by Devon McBride-Wilson. The series follows veteran detective Firewake and his rookie partner Zaffa as they investigate and pursue the powerful and mysterious Sable Nox and his many criminal allies and underlings in the big city of Addax.
And since they, and everyone else on the planet is an intelligent unicorn, things are going to get complicated.
The series' first issue was released in early 2020, and a third issue is in production.

Plot[edit]
As a science-fantasy procedural thriller series, Firewake delves into the investigations, stakeouts and confrontations of the Addax Police Department.
In the first issue, Firewake pursues an escaped gang, and in the second, Zaffa takes on a group of mobsters outside a fancy restaurant.
But the stories also touch upon the family and relationship sides of the primary characters. As seen in the first two issues, Firewake and his wife have young twin colts in school, and Zaffa, a cool mare-chaser, meets a mare who might just change his ways.
Even the primary antagonist, Sable Nox, has a daughter he is training to assist in his many schemes.
