Duncton Wood is an animal fantasy novel by William Horwood, based around a community of Moles in a fictional English location. Published in 1980 as a standalone novel, it has been reprinted by a number of publishers, most recently by Arrow Books in the 1990s. John Barber was the cover artist of Arrow Books' 1990 printing, as well as for the sequels, Duncton Quest (1988) and Duncton Found (1989), which completed the Duncton Chronicles triology.

The second trilogy, The Book of Silence, is set some two or three generations after Duncton Wood.
