Damalia

Beth "Damalia" Zaiken is a freelance illustrator who works mainly with traditional media (oil, acrylic, colored pencil). Her interest in anthropomorphics evolved from an ongoing obsession with Disney's The Lion King, which is where her online presence began as well. Her online persona is the pale gold Amur Leopard, Damalia.

Having worked professionally since 2003, in addition to attending art school in Rhode Island, she now manages her own upstart mural painting business in Rochester, Minnesota (her native home) during the summer, as well as doing private and professional commission projects.
