Critical Miss is a webcomic created by Cory Rydell and Grey Carter. It appears in The Escapist, an online magazine covering video games, gamers, the gaming industry, and gaming culture.
Critical Miss and furry[edit]
The Critical Miss strip for May 21, 2011 makes a reference to the furry fandom, in a skit about the Sorting Hat from the Harry Potter universe.
After spending three-quarters of the strip sorting one new student into Slytherin ("Jesus. Look at this kid's hair. That's asshole hair if I ever saw it."), the Hat is placed on the head of an overweight boy. The reader is shown the Hat's side of telepathic communication with the boy:
| Alright, porkchop. Let's get this over with.
So, uh... what do you do in your spare time?. What? What the hell is "yiffing"? |
In the final panel, having found out what "yiffing" is, the Hat is aghast:
