Cracker Silverscales is but one name of many for a shapeshifting character, most notably appearing as a bipedal male silver dragon on FurryMUCK and AlfandriaMUCK in the late 1990's and early 2000's.
The person behind the character has had Anthropomorphic Fursonas since the late 1970's, based primarily in the Science fiction genre. Other names he has used include Sam Stone, Kaioty, Skweeker, Merlin, Jaswell, Charlie Sierra, DragonWraith, Vixenator, Mad_Scientist, MaleDragonGod and Dishardi.
First introduced to the world of online multi-player computer gaming through MegaWars which was hosted on CompuServe in the mid 1980's, he transitioned to the online Furry fandom in 1994 by playing a bipedal lion named Mrokhymro at the Red Dragon Inn on America Online's Freeform Gaming Forums, though never known for anything more than starting pie-fights with Drow elves.
On FurryMUCK, he designed and occasionally maintains Area51, which is loosely patterned on the military base of the same name.
He attended ConFurence 9 and Further Confusion 2000, but has since avoided furry conventions and online gaming.
He currently resides in central New Mexico in the southwestern area of the United States, dividing time between the village of Los Lunas and the city of Albuquerque, where he is employed at a small aircraft facility. He is a graduate of the University of New Mexico and holds degrees in Engineering and Technical Training.
