Clarke Macbeth is an American politician, activist, and furry who resides in Maple Grove, Minnesota, USA. Currently serving as a political candidate for Maple Grove city council, he identifies professionally as an assembly line worker, computer scientist, YouTuber, dancer, and furry. With roots in various locations including Corpus Christi, Texas; Savannah, Georgia; Cheyenne, Wyoming; and Warren, Pennsylvania, Clarke found solace in technology and furry communities throughout his youth before settling down in Minnesota.

Biography[edit]

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, on September 28, 1992, Clarke quickly embraced life beyond Texas borders, having only returned briefly for Texas Furry Fiesta 2018. Raised predominantly in Savannah, Georgia, Clarke recalls fond memories of growing up in the coastal community of Wilmington Island. By age seven, he discovered a passion for computing, sparked by his curiosity about hardware components and software applications.

The Macbeth family subsequently migrated westward to Cheyenne, Wyoming, introducing young Clarke to winter sports and expanding his horizons through trips to neighboring states like Colorado. Eventually, Clarke landed in Warren, Pennsylvania, where he encountered the burgeoning internet subculture known as the furry fandom. On August 20, 2008, at the tender age of 16, Clarke formally declared allegiance to the furry community via his DeviantArt account, anthroguy101.

At 17, armed with parental consent, Clarke ventured into uncharted territory at AnthroCon 2010, savoring his inaugural experience within the vibrant realm of furry conventions.

Furry Career & Hobbies[edit]

Following graduation, Clarke settled near the Kansas City Metropolitan Area alongside his family. Throughout his college education, he reveled in opportunities to connect face-to-face with fellow local furries, organizing numerous events under the banner of KCFur. However, lingering issues caused Clarke to withdraw from active involvement in May 2013 and ultimately culminated in a complete disassociation by 2015. Despite this setback, Clarke maintained connections with Minnesota furries upon transitioning to Baxter, Minnesota, becoming a regular presence at regional gatherings hosted by MNFurs and annual pilgrimages to Furry Migration.

Identity Crisis and METRO Mutt

By late 2017, Clarke debuted his original character, METRO Mutt, investing in custom fursuits crafted by professional artists. Eager to represent this persona publicly, Clarke flaunted his new identity at Texas Furry Fiesta 2018. Ambitions surged as he entered the competitive sphere of fursuit dancing, although initial attempts proved fruitless with eliminations occurring swiftly during round one performances.

Despite occasional mental health challenges, Clarke boldly rebranded himself entirely as METRO Mutt, updating virtually all digital profiles save for Reddit to maintain accumulated karma points. Regarding social media preferences post-Elon Musk’s Twitter buyout in 2022, Clarke shifted focus toward emerging networks such as Bluestsky Social.
