Redirecting a Category into/towards another (established) one?

Re: 3D Modeller/3D Artist.

The most common term for an artist that uses 3D for creating art today is (duh) 3D artist; Modeller is an archaic term that hardly anybody uses in the field (looks good in awards, thou).

Is there a way to redirect a Category (Category:3D artists), to an established one so artists will appear on that primary cat?. - Spirou (talk) 08:16, 4 September 2015 (EDT)

Redirected categories don't show up in the primary category, unfortunately. At Wikipedia, they utilize a "soft" redirect system in which the category they want to redirect is created with a template stating where the main category is, and bots that move any pages unwittingly put into that category into the primary one. --Equivamp - talk 09:03, 4 September 2015 (EDT)
