Beever & Company is a non-fiction book by Joseph A. Davis, illustrated by his own drawings and by photographs. Published in 1969, by Harper & Row, it describes the author's living with a series of animals, including Pixie, a Fennec; Otters Beever, Flump, and Mimsy; Joey, a Clawless Otter; Samaki (Sam), a Spot-necked Otter, inspiration for the novel Samaki: The Story of an Otter in Africa.[1]
