Ardent Furvour was a proposed "sex-positive" furry convention.[1] It was scheduled to be held over June 19-22, 2014,[1] at the Sanctuary House Resort Motel in the Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia.[2]

Ardent Furvour was organised by Raraka.[3] and the theme of the convention would have been "Saved by the 90s".[1]

It was announced that the convention would be sponsored by Bad Dragon, and that the organisers had "a lot of contests planned, and will be giving away a bunch of free toys".[4]

Proposed activities[edit]

The event aimed to "create a space where people feel safe and comfortable in embracing the strong connection between furry and sexuality".[1] It was intended to have a variety of panels, facilitated discussions, and keynote presentations around topics relating to sex and sexuality.[5]

There would have be a separate stream of recreational events, including a day trip to Healesville Sanctuary, a charity concert, talks from special guests, fursuit games, and a bouncy castle.[1]

Cancellation[edit]

On June 9, 2014,[6] it was announced that Ardent Furvour had been cancelled due to an insufficient number of registrations.[3]

The late cancellation left the organisers with "a substantial out-of-pocket cost", for which donations were sought.[3]
