Amy Ninetails, also known as Tigris (born October 29, 1986, in Malmö, Sweden), is a furry DJ who lives in Bunkeflostrand, Skåne County, Sweden.

Fandom involvement[edit]

Amy was, unknowingly, a furry from a very young age, when she had a small crush on the character Gadget Hackwrench from the Disney animated series Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers. She found the furry fandom in 2001.

Amy was one of the staff members of NordicFuzzCon 2013, serving as Stage Manager and DJ Manager.

Fursona[edit]

Amy Ninetails' fursona of choice was, at first (in 2006), a wolf, alone and independent. As time went on, she found her true fursona, a white Siberian Tiger.

Music[edit]

Amy Ninetails began her DJ career in September, 2007, in Second Life with Winamp and SHOUTcast, but she felt the need of more control over her tracks, so in January 2008 she acquired VirtualDJ, and did not let it go until November 2012 when she bought Traktor Pro 2.

She plays Lounge, House, Trance, Dubstep, Hands-Up, Hardstyle, Hardcore, Gabber, Drum 'n' Bass and Speedcore.

History[edit]

In March 2008, Amy Ninetails joined NERadio.fm, doing two sessions per week. In October, 2009, she began playing at a small local club once a month, and she was their resident DJ up to the summer of 2010.

In January, 2010, Amy took her mixing to the next level by getting a Numark Matrix 3 mixer and Native Instruments Audio 2 DJ USB Soundcard. In November, 2012, she acquired her first real DJ kit: a pair of Pioneer CDJ 350s, and a DJM 250 with a flightcase, along with Traktor Pro 2. In February, 2013, she went from a laptop with Traktor to using USB sticks, due to her laptop breaking.
