Alph Lang

Alph Lang (born 1989) is a Mexican fursuiter, writer and translator YouTuber born in Puebla, Puebla, Mexico. He also lived in Nord-Pas-De-Calais, France, and Taipei, Taiwan. His Fursonas are: a Mexican grey Wolf named Alph, a Kangaroo named Neill Quintana Roo, and a Deer called Lu or Lou.

History

Before becoming a furry

Alph discovered the fandom around 2004 while staying for a whole summer in Detroit, Michigan, and finding more about it on the internet. That same year, he started volunteering as a Mascot at his school. During that time, Alph was a closet furry and didn't consider himself as a part of the fandom, while continuing to do mascot performance at his school until graduation, and later in college.

Mascot Work

Alph volunteered for mascot work at different events for his high school, college, and years later, also redesigned the mascot for his former school. He also took several one-time gigs and did mascot work at the 2011 Pan-American Games of Guadalajara, Jalisco, where he performed as all three characters. Later he also worked as a mascot for the football team Lobos BUAP in his hometown, from 2014 to 2019 until the team was disbanded after 2 years in the major leagues of Mexico.

As a furry

On October 2016, Japanese fursuiter Yoshinomi contacted Alph to help him get a suit from a studio in Mexico City, and they became internet friends. Yoshinomi intended to visit Mexico before going to BLFC 2017 and invited Alph to meet other furries and do a small trip around central Mexico, in Querétaro, Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, Peña De Bernal, Cavas Freixenet and Puebla. This trip made Alph finally decide to join the fandom. From late 2019 on, he also started to work with Anima FX Studio in Mexico City, a studio that makes special effects, mascot suits, fursuits and animatronics, and with whom he had been in contact for years before, since they were the ones who made the mascot suits he worked with in Lobos BUAP.
