Akeyla

Akeyla is a Swiss fantasy and furry artist. Her real name is Barbara Utzinger. She mainly works with three-dimensional medias (terracotta, polymer clay) but also with traditional flat media. Subjects of her art: dragons, cathumans and mythological creatures. One of her passions is to create fictional new races and new worlds.
After having visited the Kantonsschule Wettingen, Akeyla took a one year break to study english and work on her freelance art. In 2005 she visited the one year course at Schule für Gestaltung Basel. She is currently studying at HGKZ and she will finish her education there in 2010 as an art teacher.
Together with Blue Panther she founded the Basel Fur Meet.
She should not be confused with Akeela.
