A Great Escape is a novel by Colin Dann. Animals, including Spider the monkey and Auntie the parrot, are covertly freed from a pet shop, and make for a windmill, previously decided as their meeting point.
A Great Escape was first published in 1990, by Hutchinson Childen's Books. A Red Fox edition was published by Random Century Childen's Books the next year, in paperback with the ISBN 0099771500.[1]
