I don't think {{fursona}} is the correct image tag for this. --Rat 05:43, 7 October 2006 (UTC)

It appears that most every fursuit image on this site uses the {{fursona}} tag (assuming they use a tag at all). Rather than go around adding your above comment to every such image (I looked, hehe), perhaps suggest to the other admins the addition of a new tag, similar to the {{fursona}} tag, yet which replaces the term fursona with fursuit within the copyright tag?
Having said that, I would like to state that I do personally consider a fursuit as one way of expressing a fursona; I do not believe that such expression should necessarily be limited to the printed art form, or to internet roleplay. A fursuit, after all, contains elements of both art and roleplay. Further, the character protrayed by the fursuit itself is, of course, a fursona. Hence, I personally do think the {{fursona}} tag is not incorrect for fursuit images.
In any case, I thank you for considering either of my suggestions. --Autumnfox 22:55, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
The way I see it is that {{fursona}} is sort of a "fair use" claim; a fursona drawing is a like a "logo" for that furry, so a low-resolution graphic of a fursona drawing is the only way to illustrate what the fursona looks like. Pictures of fursuits are not unique in that way; anyone can take a picture of one. I myself have released several photographs that I've taken under GFDL and Creative Commons. I don't see why other photographers can't do the same. --Rat 00:19, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
