I uploaded a new image for sourcing the Morphicon logo (because Cirrus was credited in the old one, but his drawing had been inadvertently removed from the logo), and in my naivete left this page available. It has no links to it, so it should probably be cleaned up.

I'm still learning.  :) Also, it's ironic that my name is Trickster in the wiki, but Trickster is already taken as a user name, no?

It's no problem, you couldn't actually delete the image unless you're a member of the admin team anyway. So the official logo of Morphicon is both the text and the image? Technically, it is...though the "official logo" of the corporation is just something I whipped up in haste in Photoshop, honestly. We don't use the logo anywhere at present other than as a title to our main page. It's a bit unwieldy to be useful as a logo. I don't suppose most conventions have an actual logo, though; AAE and Feral! are the only ones that immediately come to mind. --Trickster Wolf 20:25, 6 September 2006 (UTC)

As you say, most conventions do tend to change themes too often to have a distinct logo, but there are some constants. For example, Anthrocon might consider its semicircular logo (and possibly the slogan "Fur, fun and so much more.") to be trademark terms - as well as its own name! - though they're not registered as such and would therefore be limited in the remedies if they tried to actually enforce it. AAE did register "FurCon" in 2004, possibly because it is not their name (they claim to have first used the term in April 1998). --GreenReaper^(talk) 22:15, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
