The official mascot for the Italian Fur Haven is Lykta, an anthropomorphised brown bear who holds a lantern. His name was chosen through a poll open to all Italian Fur Haven members.

History

First event: First Blood!

The first IFH event took place over May 1-4, 2014 in a building close to Castelnovo ne' Monti (Reggio Emilia). There were a total of 60 attendees, from Italy, San Marino, Croatia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the United States. The three-story building provided two large meeting rooms, one kitchen, and many bedrooms of various sizes.

During the four days, various events were hosted, including special meals, outings, board and video games, disco, furry panels, round tables and a fursuit group photoshoot.

Second event: Furry Fright Night

The second IFH event is scheduled to take place over October 4-5, 2014, in a 19th century country mansion close to Colombaro di Formigine (Modena). The event is organized with the Facebook group Fursuit Italia. It will consist of a large dinner followed by a vampire/gothic themed disco until late at night. A fursuit photoshoot will take place during the disco.
