Tailbass is an international community of online dancers, party-goers, DJs, livestream specialists, and audio-video specialists. DJs regularly play events online through VRChat, Mixcloud, and Twitch and at both in-person conventions such as Blue Ridge Furfare, Furry Weekend Atlanta, DEF CON, Furnal Equinox, and Eurofurence, as well as online conventions such as CozyCon and Furality Online Xperience.
Many DJs host their own private Discord groups and even have their own personal VRChat worlds.
Operations
Tailbass conducts its activities primarily through Discord. Links to worlds are privately available for the duration of the event and advertised in appropriate Discord channels, then deleted once the event is complete. Tailbass livestreams its events via Twitch and specialized "bot" systems, which also help to provide accounts for attendees to request invites from and subsequently join the worlds.
Moderation is provided through volunteer "worldmasters."
Tailbass provides livestreaming services and support for Furality Online Xperience.
Gateways and Portals
Tailbass regularly sets up "gateways" between VRChat worlds and in-person conventions such as Furry Weekend Atlanta, Biggest Little Fur Con, Megaplex, Anthrocon, and Eurofurence. These gateways allow players in VRChat to interact with convention attendees in the real world. Furality Online Xperience capitalized off of this by providing a gateway to the Luma Forest at Furry Weekend Atlanta in May 2022, allowing attendees to experience the sensation of being entirely surrounded by the Luma Forest as offered by FYNN's Room.[1].
