The Fandom is a documentary series that is focused on giving people a real-life look into the furry community as told by the artists and creators who have helped build it. The project is being led by Ash Coyote. It consists of two parts, a multi-season web series, and a feature film.

Documentary Film

The Fandom[1][2] gives an in-depth look at the early history of the fandom and explores the furry fandom's origins as the first internet subculture as well as focusing on the individuals who helped to start the first furry conventions, meetups, and facilitate artistic expression. A Kickstarter for the feature film was started on March 22, 2019[3] and the Kickstarter ended on May 21, 2019.[4] The project ended up raising $32,125, which was $12,125 more than its $20,000 original goal.[5] On May 22, 2020 a trailer for the film was uploaded onto Ash Coyote's YouTube Channel.[6] On July 3, 2020, The Fandom officially premiered on YouTube.[7][8] The Fandom documentary film also made Blu-Rays, 4K, and HD digital downloads available for purchase July 3, 2020 on the official website.[9]

Documentary Series

Season 1

Part 1 of The Fandom was completed as a web series which will be released in parts on Ash Coyote's YouTube channel. There are currently seven episodes which have been released:

Season 2

Ash Coyote announced that there will be a second season for the The Fandom at some point in the future.[10]
